When considering a greenhouse, space is always a major factor to think about. One way of utilising unused space is to buy one of the many lean to greenhouses available in the UK today. Traditionally used on a south facing wall the Victorians were the first to realize that the wall acts as a heat sink which releases the heat back into the lean to. This helps to keep the lean to greenhouse warm and allowed them to grow vines and many types of fruit trees that otherwise you would not be able to grow in the UK’s climate.
